Emily St John Mandel is back with Exit Party and honestly, it is a whole mood. Set in 2031 after a second civil war completely tanked the US economy, the book drops us right into a world where the price of surviving is selling your soul. Ari Waker just gets out of prison for trying to kill her cousin Anton and basically everything changed while she was locked up. If you already vibe with her previous books, you will get major nostalgia, but it completely works as a standalone read too.
