james gunn sequel vs empire of the sun

The Rundown

so basically james gunn is making a man of tomorrow sequel and david corenswet is back as superman. he is teaming up with lex luthor which means we are getting that iconic enemies to friends trope. the plot is that they are joining forces to defeat brainiac which sounds like a solid blockbuster. the news is comparing the movie to empire of the sun and i can see the vibe.
