so here is a crazy fact. when kenneth branagh was directing the first thor movie almost 20 years ago, marvel was actually thinking about making it super horizontal. basically turning thor into a space opera spin-off of star wars. they obviously did not end up doing that and the movie was a whole vibe. turns out the mix of shakespearean acting and space fantasy was exactly what we needed back then.
